The Art of Letting Go

interph_one_264837725

Don’t let her go. You’d be a fool if you do,” said a friend to a guy who’s been in a relationship for seven years.

I nodded, although my heart and mind would’ve advised him otherwise. Instead, I chose to understand that for someone who’s been in a relationship for that long, he must be expecting to settle down one day. I also understand that love is so powerful that sometimes it blinded us to see that life holds unlimited possibilities. And some people choose to fight for things they can’t control (i.e. the hearts of the people they love), hoping for a happy ending.

As we grow older and wiser, our understanding of love is constantly being redefined.

When we were children, we know that we live in a world we cannot control. In contrary, as adults, we’ve been spending time holding on to the things that we think we can control. We perceive love as something that we earn. Something that we have to keep, to fight for in order not to lose. We assume that if we are living correctly, we can control the events around us. (Robert Maurer, Ph.D., One Small Step Can Change Your Life (The Kaizen Way).)

Truth is, we cannot.

I know that once in a lifetime, we met someone who’s… extraordinary. Someone so great that feels like home, like your soulmate. And it would be really hard just to imagine living without them. But, sometimes, the timing isn’t just right and all we have to do,
is to let go.

cakecaine_-845314179

The Art of Letting Go simply means to let go of the things we cannot control. It also means to trust Allah and Allah only. To love everything and everyone in just the right amount–not too much–and to put our love for Allah and His messenger above everything else.

When we love someone, we always want to make them happy. We want to be together with them for as long as we can. But, it seems that the world today has made us forget that relationship which is not acknowledged by law and Allah will only harm us and the people we love in the hereafter and possibly in this life, too.

It is not a sin to love someone, it is what we do with it that makes it otherwise. If we really love them, then, we wouldn’t dare to put them in any harm, would we?

Don’t hold our love too tight for it may slip out of our hands. Instead, let it go. Let it breathe. Let it grow.

The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses (this Qur’an) are recited unto them, they (i.e. the Verses) increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone).
[Al-Anfal, 2]

Letting go doesn’t mean that we have to stop loving them or that we have to forget them, no. It just means that we’ll fight for them when we’re ready to take the full responsibility. Only then, in our loneliness, we’ll begin to recognize the greatest love we can ever received. The love of The One who holds the hearts of His creations. The One who is capable of all things. Only then, we’ll learn to love Him before anyone else.

We often get distracted by the whispers of shaitan and our own desire. Every time we fall, get back up to the straight path. It’s certainly not easy but never let those things make us forget about our purpose in this life and that everything here is temporary.

At the end of the day, humans can only plan and prayer is the best thing that we can do. Thank Allah for creating such amazing people that you met along the way. Thank Him for letting you get to know them, to love them and be loved. Thank Him for every lessons you got through them. Pray for their happiness in this life and the hereafter.
If we truly love them then, that’s all that really matter, isn’t it?

He submitted, “O my Lord – my bones have become weak and old age shines forth from my head, and O my Lord, I have never been disappointed in my prayer to you.”
[Maryam: 4]

Self-reminder.

Rita Puspitasari

Definisi Wanita Hebat

Ketika ditanya, “Seperti apa sih definisi wanita hebat menurutmu?”

Ketika kutanya, bagaimana caramu pergi?

Si sahabat berkata, pada awalnya sulit menolak tiap ajakan perginya–meskipun dia tahu itu salah.

Aku tersenyum sembari mengangguk-angguk.

For He knows whatever lies between your heart. For He is nearer than your veins.

Kemudian…

“Rill… HP sama dompetku gaada.”

“Hah? Boong. Bukan aku li yg ngambil.”

“Iya tau :( tapi beneran gaada.”

“….”

Tetep tenang. Focus on what I have. Alhamdulillah hari itu gue nggak bawa laptop, kalo iya mungkin udah diambil setas-tasnya. Alhamdulillah kunci motor masih ada. Alhamdulillah KTP ditinggal di kosan.

Hal pertama yang gue lakukan adalah: nelfon nyokap buat ngabarin, kebetulan sebelum sholat emang lagi whatsapp-an sm nyokap. Ntar doi nyariin lagi kan. Akhirnya minjem hp Rillya buat nelfon.

Satu buah pelajaran, gue kantongi.

Pelajaran kedua, gue kantongi.

Tapi hati-hati, jangan terlalu bergantung.

Pelajaran ketiga, gue kantongi.

Ba’da Isya, setelah sholat berjama’ah, gue tertegun ngeliat seseorang melaksanakan sholat sunnah. Mungkin selama ini dia menyembunyikan ibadah sunnahnya yang gak gue ketahuin, tapi begitu kemarin liat dia begitu, gue bahagia sekali sih. Berarti dia pun sedang meng-improve diri.

Ibadah sunnahmu kurang intens. Perbanyak lagi, perbanyak lagi.

Pelajaran keempat pun, gue kantongi.

Wallahu’alam.

Marlin(s).

Finding good friends are hard.

The “good” by means, you feel good when they’re around.

You know that moment when out of nowhere these persons suddenly came to you and you just “clicked”? It’s like, “Guys, I’ve finally found my squad. Brace yourself because we’re gonna take over the world.”

…. yeaa, not really.

I think… the best people are those who made you feel most appreciated. The appreciation could be shown through their openness to you. They shared their personal stories and only a few people knew, doesn’t that make you feel trusted and appreciated? The next minute you also open up to them and you guys just become closer than before.

It is also shown through their excitement while seeing you. Those happy faces are contagious. They actually like having you around. They appreciate your existence.

You know that you’re not the kindest person on Earth. You find yourself a bit annoying, sometimes. But, to find those people who put up with all of your flaws, accept you for who you are, treat you right and still want to include you in their everyday lives, that’s… some real friendship you got there. You’re the forgetful Dory and they’re your Marlin(s).

You might not realize that you had the best people when you see them everyday. But when you’re miles away, the thoughts that came to your mind are,

“It would be more fun if it’s with them.”

“Can’t wait to tell this to them. Must be hilarious.”

These people, they’re not perfect, no. If you ask me to write down their flaws (that at times, made me kind of frustrated), I could write down a list of them.

I’d write it down while smiling, though.

Gonna be the flaws that I’ll miss when we graduate.

Let yourself be happy!

Speaking of love, a couple of months ago, a friend asked me to write something about love like I did months ago. But since I wasn’t, and am not currently in love with anyone, it’s kind of difficult to write. So, this time I’d be writing down about it from another perspectives of mine. Well, this is going to be a bit cynical so… don’t take it personally :3 or you might as well just take it, this is actually going to be good advise for you :3

First of all, not being in love with anyone feels SO GOOD. Trust me. Being in love makes your life much more complicated than ever. Not to mention the drama, the pain, the heartbreak. I’ve seen sooo many of my friends galau-ing over the love of their lives. Well, I did, too and probably will do, some time in the future.

People will say, “You can’t just not fall in love with someone. You just do.”

Well, you’re totally WRONG. You don’t fall in love with someone unless you let it happen. If only you can recall the staring, exchanging smiles, unimportant messages, the flirt, or anything else that you started or you let happened. Small things, yes? Well, just like the saying, “Small things lead to bigger things.”

Second, talking from experience and observation, please note that galau-ing over someone and showing it to the whole world actually makes you look kind of pathetic. It really does, and it also makes people feel sorry for you :( besides, don’t you have other things to worry about? If you still have your family then take care of them and make them happy. If you’re in college then focus on your study! Unless, you can turn your insecurity or sadness into an art then you’re doing fine.

Third, if you think that it’s wrong or it makes you sad, then stop. If you love someone who has different faith in religion with you, just stop. Don’t stay there hoping he/she will convert to your religion. It’s both careless and selfish.

If you love someone who doesn’t love you back, then stop. Let it go and move on, for your own sake. Don’t make a fool out of yourself. You know you deserve someone who loves you with all their heart. For once in your life, let yourself be happy.

“But, how do I stop falling in love with someone?”

Just leave them. Like, literally. I actually got this advise from Nouman Ali Khan on one of his videos (please do correct me if I’m wrong). He said, if you want to stop it from happening, just leave them. Stop texting them, stop meeting them, stop stalking them on social media. And don’t explain yourself. Don’t say “I still love you, but I can’t be with you..,”. Don’t explain why you’re leaving them. Just be silent about it and do some real acts. Otherwise, you’ll find yourself getting back with them and never have the chance to stop.

It surely takes time. But it definitely worth a shot.

Lastly, if you’re happened to be someone who’s in love and actually feel happy about it well… congratulations! It’s always sweet in the beginning, isn’t it? *smirk

lol jk. Just keep this in mind,

Someday, someone will be your soulmate. You’ll be happily married and feel loved. But also, there will be struggles and it won’t be easy. So until then, just take it easy now. Don’t rush or force it unless you’re ready. You’re young. Just go outside and live your life. Enjoy the little things. Happy people are the most attractive ones, after all.

New blog!

Hi!

As you already knew, I love watching good movies and TV series. They entertain me the most amongst other type of entertainment. The thing is, they also consume a lot of my time and I kind of have this guilty pleasure after watching my favorite shows. So I think, why don’t I make something useful out of my hobby? So here it is, the product of my hobby,

geekyfeed.wordpress.com

*grins*

Lol okay it’s not much but at least I do something productive about it. And who knows, maybe I can be a top reviewer someday? Aamiin…

Yes, in my new blog I’ll be writing down reviews from the best movie and tv series of all time considering there will be LOADS of good movies and tv series coming in 2016 such as:

Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Now You See Me 2, Deadpool and you name it.

My very first review is for the most hyped and awaited movie of the year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Take a look at my new blog and see if you might like it!

(I’d still be writing on this blog too) :3

Allah has better for you.

Kemaren nyokap sempet nasihatin buat berusaha semaksimal mungkin mengimplementasikan apa yg gue tulis.

Gue barusan banget nonton Criminal Minds (You should watch it too) terus pemainnya ada yg bilang,
“The rightest thing is always the hardest thing to do.”

Yep! Bener banget. Kenapa susah? Karena in order to do the right thing, kita harus ngelawan yg namanya hawa nafsu, plus berusaha buat ga tersilaukan sama gemerlapnya dunia.

Mereka gaada apa2nya dibanding bidadari2 surganya Allah, Allah has better for you! Terus buat apa masih galau2 gajelas?

Tetep semangat buat meng-improve diri yah, li. :”)

Wallahu’alam.

Happy Eid Mubarak 1436 H!

Hello again!
I just can’t believe we’re heading towards the end of this holy month. How’s yours going?
Alhamdulillah in this month I’ve been given the chance to contribute on ilmunotes.com:)

If you read my earliest post right here, I did mention my friend’s blog zaifhudzaifah.wordpress.com and also his brother’s wirdanaardi.blogspot.com
Turned out that his brother just made a little sideproject and my thoughtful friend offered me to be a contributor, simply because he knew that I like to write.
I just couldn’t be any happier.
I mean, to be given critics & advices from a great writer (a journalist & also an editor) is really a huge deal for me. Though I know that my writings are still far away from perfect, moreover inspiring, I just hope that this could be a platform for me to learn more.

The website is basically for the purpose of Islamic dawah. But it’s different from any other dawah sites. The intention is not to teach, but more likely to inspire people especially the Indonesian youth who just begin to put their interests on the religion.
And as beginners with so little knowledge, rather than writing with our own perspectives, we take the perspectives from a figure’s speech or books instead. So you don’t have to worry about the source/references.

Personally, I really love the concept. And if you notice, my recent posts are also about the religion. It’s just that everytime you think of something, you just can’t put the religion aside. Islam is the way of living, isn’t it?

So, I’ll be writing for it more often. (I’m still struggling to make impactful writings :( ) For that matter, this blog will turn a bit more personal, I suppose. (Or is it already personal? Lol)

Anyway, to end both this post and this holy month of Ramadan, I’d like to say that,

I might not be the best daughter, sister, or that kind of friend with the best personality. Unintentionally, I might hurt you somewhere along the road. Therefore, I sincerely apologize for every words or actions and anything that comes with it. If Allah is so forgiving then who are we not to forgive? 😇

Happy Eid Mubarak 1436 H
Taqaballahu minna wa minkum, Ja alanallahu wa iyyakum minal aidin wal faidzin,
May Allah lead us to the righteousness, always.

Jazakallah khairan.

The only difference is you.

Have you ever travelled back to a place that brings back so many memories?

The place still looks pretty much the same. It feels the same.
The only difference is you.

Suddenly you remember all of these..
Laughter. Silliness. Sadness. Joy.

You’re starting to miss your favorite moments, your favorite food, your favorite persons.
You’re wondering what happened with all of the people you know back there.
What’s going on in their lives?

You’re standing there, remembering that this place was once big. Now it feels a little smaller, and you’re the only one getting bigger.
You see yourself years ago, as that innocent, silly kid who had no idea what she was going for. And you just smile, because you’ve figured it out now.
You grew up.

The Importance of Good Companionship

Hi! It was 1.00 a.m last night and I couldn’t sleep so…
I just read my friend’s blog right here.
He wrote it so nicely with a sweet punchline I actually got a bit jealous of his capability.

It’s about his thoughts of how people are unconsciously driven by their environment and that it’s not so surprising to see how nowadays, people sacrifice almost everything just trying to fit in.
I just couldn’t agree more.
I mean, I’ve been there before. Where somehow the opinions of others do matter.

There must be some points where the opinions of others affect your way of thinking. And it usually happens when the majority of those around you have that same idea, so you’re unconsciously processing, accepting and start living the idea itself. I think it also happens when you haven’t found your own life principles to live by.

As my friend said, it’s not thoroughly bad or wrong.
But I think if that idea alone is bad, then… I guess you know that you’re surrounded by unhealthy environment. For example, the idea of smoking, drinking, dating, or cheating(for academic purposes in particular). I’m fully aware that we all have different perspectives on whether an idea is good or bad, so you name it.

Then it leads me to this important lesson from the Prophet ﷺ (peace be upon him) about the importance of having good companions. There’s the famous hadith, the analogy of friendship from a perfume seller and a blacksmith. Another one is(my favorite one), when The Prophet ﷺ was reportedly asked:
“Which of our companions are best?”
He replied: “One whose appearance reminds you of God, and whose speech increases you in knowledge, and whose actions remind you of the hereafter.”

Sudahkah Kita Mencari?

Bismillaahirrahmaanirrahiim.

Barusan banget waktu shalat berjama’ah, adek saya yg pertama (perempuan, kelas 5 SD) menggeliat2. Dia kejang2. Nengok kanan kiri, kakinya sampe maju2. Kemudian dia mendesah panjang. Bukan, alhamdulillah bukan epilepsi.
Rupanya dia lelah shalat tarawih 8 rakaat disambung witir 3 rakaat.
Jangan tanya adek saya yg kedua(perempuan, baru lulus TK B), dia udah nyerah waktu rakaat terakhir tarawih. “Capek,” katanya. Terus kabur nonton tv di lantai atas. Wkwk. Saya kira bokap bakal mengeluh, tapi beliau tawa2 aja memaklumi. Saya pun ikut memaklumi. Mereka memang belum baligh sih, tapi alangkah baiknya kalau terbiasa beribadah dengan ikhlas sejak kecil. We’re Just a Speck of Dust Within the Galaxy

Yes, I’m home! :))
Finally, after going through the 4th semester with ups and downs, I flew back to my lovely hometown,
BSD City, South Tangerang.
I was flying back alone and I got a seat next to the window. It was a beautiful afternoon and I got to see the beautiful sunset.

image

Look at how small we actually are. Mashaa Allah.

If only we get to see this kind of view every day, just to remind ourselves that we’re so small. Quoting the beautiful words from the song,
“We’re just a speck of dust within the galaxy.”
We’re nothing.
Yet most of the time we’re being so arrogant. So proud of ourselves, of all the blessings that we’ve got; beauty, wealth, health; forgetting that we can never have it without Allah’s will.

Tulisan Perjalanan

– Kurniawan Gunadi –

Yes, I’ve finally met him!

Minggu, 24 Mei 2015.

Paginya udah dandan cantik2 dan rapi buat ketemu penulis favorit, siapa tau aja ada sesi foto bareng kan (padahal sih gaada). Berangkat sendiri, nge-tag kursi sebelah buat Abdul yg bakal nyusul abis interview.

World’s Temptation

I’ve seen so many beautiful things in the world.

Just like the beautiful blue sky.
At times the sky would turn grey, and the rain fell down to the ground. Giving off an earthy smell that I loved so much. Other times it would turn pinkish. In the afternoon the sun sets, the sky turns orange and it finally turns dark. Giving a chance for the moon and the stars to glow in the night.

It happens everyday, yet most of the time we’re too busy looking down that we forgot to look up and see His greatness. Most of the time, we’re too busy looking for all the glitters in the world that we forgot to be grateful for every little thing happened to us.

“Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.”

The world is made with so many beautiful things, either to teach us or to tempt us.

“Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire – of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. Say, ‘Shall I inform you of [something] better than that?’ For those who fear Allah will be gardens in the presence of their Lord beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and purified spouses and approval from Allah . And Allah is Seeing of [His] servants –

Aamiin.

TV series review: Daehan Minguk Manse!

p.s this is a gif, just to make sure you see it ;)

Yeay! Finally I’m doing a review here.
Though in the end I think that this is more like a list of life lessons learned from the show other than an actual review… jiahaha I’m still gonna do it anyway.

So… apparently me and some other girls around the world are falling in love with these wonderful triplets (and their dad).
You could watch them on this Korean TV show, The Return of Superman.

This reality show is basically about how the dads take care of their children. The wives have to intentionally leave the house for 48 hours and the dads are the ones in charge of the kids. That include preparing the kids’ food, doing the house chores, and being full time nannies for 2 days in a row. And so the dad is called Superman.

First of all, I have no idea how the Korean entertainment industries could be very creative to produce this kind of show. They know how to attract many viewers with different groups of age from any countries possible by using babies and toddlers :(
But they don’t just attract people to watch, they make us (or it’s just me and some other girls) love their country even more by introducing their wonderful culture, their well-planned city landscape, their unique and delicious food, the beauty of the nature, and so many other things I couldn’t possibly mention. It’s like the best marketing strategy for the country. No wonder South Korea has been developing into one of the top leading countries in the world.

Make the best of it.

Parting ways with the people we love is probably the least thing we’ve ever wanted.

I believe that each one of the closest people to ours, have filled the little holes in our hearts. And when they’re gone, there will be some sort of emptiness felt within our hearts.
Some new people might come, but it would never be the same holes that they fitted in.

I understand that people have different ways of dealing with goodbyes. Some people might shutdown, the others make the best of it.

Open your heart.

Opening your heart to someone isn’t that easy.
It takes courage, work, and your heart has to be ready for whatever happens next.
Let’s say that there’s this wonderful guy. He’s smart, he’s charming, he has good personalities, he has a beautiful smile that makes your heart melts to the ground.
Somehow seeing him makes you happy.
But then you realize that he’s not yours. And you started to think what will happen if you try to develop your relationship with him.

In my mind, I see myself opening up to him, getting to know him, getting to know his personalities better. Then I’ll learn to accept him for his strengths and weaknesses. For his good and bad. I see us getting along really well and I fall in love with him more and more each day. I see us being happy.
But relationship is not always about happiness. Happiness, fear, hurt, jealousy, sadness. It’s all in one complete package. A package that you have to carry along.
In my mind, I see a huge possibility of us getting hurt. Whether I hurt him or he hurts me.
Then my mind stops picturing things.
I never want to see him hurt, especially by me. I want to see his smile everyday. I want to see him happy.
They say that you have to take the chance if you want to be happy, and you also have to take the risks.
But I can never do that.
Because I know that he’s gonna be so precious to me, that he means everything, and I just can never lose him.

I can’t afford to lose him, ever.

Because when you open your heart, you’ll give it all. You trust your heart to someone that might do whatever he could.
They say that you have to be rational when you’re in love. They say that you have to take control over your feelings.
But you know what? There’s no such thing as being rational when you’re falling in love.
Because you’re falling.
Your heart&mind go crazy for him. You’re in cloud nine. It’s gonna feel like it’s just the two of you exist in this world. Nobody else matters. Nothing matters.
If you don’t feel it that way, then I have to ask you again, do you really love him?

But we only have two hands.

I woke up this morning, reading my friend’s chat in a group. Because tuesday is going to be Kartini’s day, he suggested us–the women–to wear skirts and dress up as pretty as we could.
It’s a good suggestion, though.
Then a friend explained many reasons not to wear the skirt. She’s afraid of what the seniors might think and other kind of stuffs.
Reading it, I was like… okay.. so that’s her opinion about the skirt. I wonder if there are any other females who have the same thought as hers.
I just wanna breakdown this into some points.

First of all, as a Muslim, we all know why skirt is a good thing to wear. Instead of wearing a pair of tight jeans–which shows the curves of our legs–we should’ve covered it, and not showing it to everyone we meet on the streets.

Secondly, why should we bother what other people might think? Yes, sometimes we need to listen to other people to reflect on ourselves. But we don’t have to listen to all of it. We choose what we know is right. And we choose to change ourselves to be better based on their opinion. That’s the point of reflecting ourselves by listening to other people.
But when it’s a negativity that comes out from them, why bother listening to it? Why do we have to care so much about the noise, when these are our lives and we’re the ones who live it.

But then I was smiling after reading this. Another friend of mine answered her,

We only have two hands. It must be hard to cover thousands of mouths out there. Why don’t we just use it to cover our own ears?

It’s such a nice thing to say and a very good advice without hurting her feelings. Four thumbs up from me!

In the line

I see them fall in love with each other.
Yet, they stay in the line.
She knows he’s going.
He knows well that it’s very hard to leave.
As the days passing by, the time is much more appreciated.
All the awkwardness, the ego, they put it all aside.
They fixed what was broken.
But they don’t go further.
Further means it’s gonna hurt more.
All they want is to make the best of the remaining time–only filled with good memories.
They might not see it.
A love so tender. Strong at the same time, but not compelling.
They know it somehow. And they have their own way to keep it, trying so hard not to show it. Though I can see it clearly in their eyes.
They realize that they love what can always be taken at any time. And so they concede, and stay in the line.

Someday I would like to see Him wiping off the line. Uniting them in a wonderful way they deserved. As a beautiful gift for their patience and sincerity.

Walk with your mind, run with your heart.

“The negative split, is to deliberately go slower at the first half than the second half of your race. So you pace your opponent, and when it’s time, you go for the kill. Your mind become such a finely tuned instrument. You don’t want to run too fast.

Relax. Walk. Pace. Calculate. Breathe.

And when the time comes to flip the switch, you put your mind away, you put your head down. And you put your heart into it and you run with everything that you have.

Walk with your mind, run with your heart.”

Thoughts.

Mereka gak pernah pacaran. Jatuh cinta mungkin, tapi mereka menjaga cintanya tanpa diketahui orang lain.

Lost

It’s amazing how you will always find your way back home.

I have an amazing friend, who happened to have a blog, zaifhudzaifah.wordpress.com

Unfortunately it’s not his blog I’m going to talk about, it’s his brother’s lol. With all due respect, sir, I’m going to put it right here and quote some writings of yours.

Go check it out guys, wirdanaardi.blogspot.com

I am completely a fan for his writings. His posts are mostly about religion and his family. The funny thing was, I literally shed a tear while reading it. He has that thing–he knows how to admonish people in a cool way. Some writings really knock my heart and I just have to quote some of it.

Anyway, I am currently on my 4th semester in college. It’s been almost 2 years I’ve been spending the majority of my time away from home. It is inevitable that sometimes I feel.. lost.

Sometimes I feel like, I don’t know what I’m doing here. Sometimes I don’t know what I’m gonna do in this life. Will I survive? Will I be success?

Sometimes I just want to go home and hoping that time would stop at that moment. That moment when I could spend my whole life living at home with my loving parents and my two little sisters.

I don’t wanna grow up.

I don’t want to be old. I don’t wanna go out to the world, because it’s scary.

Once I realize that life is a competition, it scares me. Now I have all these scary thoughts of whether I’ll make it or not. Or maybe–maybe I’m on the wrong path. Maybe, I’m not supposed to be here. Maybe, there are better opportunities for me if I could just.. be brave enough to follow my own passion and try new things.

Sometimes I feel lost in my own anxieties.

And when I do, that’s when I realize that I had to have a good grip on something that will always lead me to the righteousness.

And it turned out to be religion. No matter how long I’d try to find the answer, it’s right there, the answer is on the religion. And my anxieties go away.

And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you]. Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. Indeed, the Hour is coming – I almost conceal it – so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. (Ţāhā : 13-16)

Cheesy little thing called love

Hi!

Actually I’ve been very busy these days (sok sibuk). Holiday is over and the hard working days are ahead of me. But then these thoughts just came up and I feel like writing.

Can I write something cheesy here?

Oh well, no one’s reading my blog anyway… lol. (actually I just got a new follower here. Thanks, dude! or dudette.)

But if you happen to know me, just try not to laugh. Because I’m going to talk about… love.

I bet that you all have at least fallen in love once in your lifetime. If not then maybe you must be an innocent 2-year-old kid accidentally reading my blog, who only knows how to sleep, eat, and cry. :( sorry, toddlers are cute.

Love is something.. unexplainable. We feel it. And we all have something to love in general. Whether it’s God, your parents, best friends, boyfriend(s) (oops), and even your job.

My only question is,

how do you fall in love?

I mean.. how? do you choose who you’d fall in love with? how do you know that you love them? is it real, or is it just you repeating it in your mind just to feel like you’re really in love with them when you’re actually not?

I never know.

In the context of God, parents and best friends, yes I’m sure that I love them the most. I love them with my own way. But when we’re talking about the opposite sex, how do you know?

Yes, I had boyfriend. Had. So where did all the love go?

Confusing, isn’t it? If love is that simple then probably the Beatles won’t write hundreds of legendary love songs. Probably, Shakespeare won’t write Romeo & Juliet and made it the most famous love story ever known.

And what terrifies me the most about love is when you know that it’s real.

You know, sometimes when we don’t open our heart that easy; when we don’t try, it’s because we fear that it could be real.

We fear that he might be that amazing guy you’ve always thought about. We fear that he might be the one in a million. That he might be the one that we’ve been trying so hard to look for. We fear that he might be that incredible, extra ordinary, unforgettable guy you just couldn’t stop thinking about. Then we fear that he might not feel the same way. And that he might hurt you. And we just couldn’t take it. Because all of the “might”s have been real.

So, what would you do?

Because I actually have my own answer. That every single person you know on this planet will let you down whether they meant it or not. And you can never depend yourself on them. The only One you can truly love and depend yourself on is the Creator. Your creator. The Creator of the universe, of this beautiful life.

I told you it’s going to be cheesy.

Cheesy yet it’s true. :)

INFP

I just had this personality test, try it here!

And the result is that I am an INFP. It stands for Introversion, Intuition, Feeling and Perception.

Well, I think that mostly the descriptions are correct and I’m going to put it here just to remind myself.

INFP personality

INFP personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, INFPs have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. Comprising just 4% of the population, the risk of feeling misunderstood is unfortunately high for the INFP personality type – but when they find like-minded people to spend their time with, the harmony they feel will be a fountain of joy and inspiration. Intro

Hello there.

So I make this new blog for a new start. I actually have another blog, here.
I loved writing there. I wrote pretty much about everything, and that’s the issue. I was on my middle school year and I had this unstable emotion, so I wrote in all of my thoughts and feelings about everything, but in an immature way. Too narrow-minded, I would say. And also embarrassing LOL so I deleted all the posts written before 2013.

Oh well, I was just a kid.

But then, that’s the actual issue now. I feel like I’m not that confident to write my heart out again. I have these thoughts saying,
“It’s not good enough.”
“This is so boring.”
“Ugh is my English good enough?”

And also, I have these thoughts but then it’s kind of hard to put it into words. It’s my own insecurities. Pretty stupid, though.

Oh by the way I read a writing about insecurity, and it’s really cool. I’ll share it next time.

So here I am, talking about my insecurities and trying to improve myself. I’ll start writing again. Writing is fun, don’t you think? I like writing. You’re able to share your thoughts and you’ll find some people who might understand or even better, get inspired by your writings.

Let’s get started, shall we?
